Everything Is Temporary

These days, I’ve been trying to be more present.

I keep reminding myself that everything is temporary.

Where I am now is temporary. This uncertainty is temporary. Even this version of me is temporary.

I know that by this time next year, I probably won’t be where I am today. My life will look different somehow, just like it has every other year.

And knowing that makes me want to enjoy where I am now a little more.

So I laugh more.

I talk to people more. I listen to their stories and let myself get inspired. I try not to spend so much time worrying about what comes next.

The visa situation has been difficult. Especially because it wasn’t something I expected, and it wasn’t really something I could control.

Of course, I still have what ifs sometimes.

What if things had gone differently? But there is no point living in a version of my life that doesn’t exist.

There is only this one.

When I look back at the my past life, I realized how much has changed. Every year brought me somewhere different, and most of the time, things eventually turned out okay.

So maybe I can trust that again.

I don’t know what next year will look like.

I don’t need to.

For now, I want to enjoy the people I meet, keep learning, keep reading, keep writing, and keep figuring things out.

One day, I’ll look back at this period too.

And it will be temporary, just like everything else.

For now, I’m here.

And I’m ready to continue the adventure.
